Pascal Lowther, Gründer und CEO

Pascal is the founder and CEO of Lowther Swiss Armour, a Zurich-based company specializing in innovative protective clothing and security concepts. With his experience from a special military unit and over 17 years in international retail management, he combines in-depth security knowledge with comprehensive business expertise.

For more than 20 years, he has been intensively involved with protective technologies and security strategies, visiting trade fairs around the world and analyzing innovations. He uses this knowledge to develop clothing that meets the highest safety standards and is also suitable for everyday use.

Lowther Swiss Armour goes beyond just protective clothing: the company is committed to better safety concepts in kindergartens, schools and universities. In addition to protective solutions, preventive concepts are also developed to meet the changing safety requirements of our time.

The focus is particularly on protective clothing for children that combines safety, comfort and modern design. Swiss design, Made in Germany and fair production in Europe guarantee the highest quality. All products are developed together with engineers, designers, psychologists, doctors and textile companies and meet the strict requirements of the PPE regulation and EU directives.

Thanks to the unique combination of military experience and international management know-how, Pascal is setting new standards in personal protective equipment with Lowther Swiss Armour and is helping to make everyday life safer.

My name is Andy Ziegler, software developer and entrepreneur with a focus on startups and medium-sized companies. My goal is to solve current problems with modern technologies.

In August 2024, my website Messerinzidenz.de went online and reached millions of people within a few days. The trigger was the question: What can I do as an individual to make a difference? In view of the increasing reports of knife attacks, I wanted to create transparency by collecting, processing and making publicly available data on knife crimes. This way, journalists and researchers can continue to work with this information. My hope: transparency creates security.

Through Messerinzidenz.de I came into contact with Pascal, the founder of Swiss Armour. We share the common goal of making the world safer - especially for the weakest in our society. SHIELD Germany stands for high-quality protection and reliable equipment - developed with passion and expertise over generations. Founded by my father Thomas Traut, our journey began with the goal of offering first-class protective equipment for authorities, the military and civilian users. As the second generation, I (Tom Traut) continue this mission, with a clear focus on innovation, quality and the continuous development of our products.

Our experience in the development and production of ballistic protection solutions enables us to meet the highest safety standards. In addition to protective vests for professional users, we have expanded our range and now also offer ballistic plates and flexible soft ballistic inserts that have been specially developed for use in Swiss Armour's stab and cut protection clothing. In this way, we ensure that even the youngest and most vulnerable members of our society are optimally protected.

With our production in Europe, we rely on the highest quality control, short delivery routes and close cooperation with our partners. Our goal is to combine uncompromising protection with the highest level of comfort - for those who need to protect themselves and others.

For over 33 years, we have combined tradition and innovation in our family-run textile company – driven by heart, passion and the desire to deliver the highest quality.

The company is run by the second generation, Carlos, who brings fresh ideas and innovative strength with his studies in textile engineering. Together with Luis, who has shaped the textile industry with experience and dedication since 1988, they run the company with a clear vision and real passion.

The team is the heart of their success. With concentrated experience and enthusiasm for high-quality textiles, they work hand in hand and combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies.

The products stand for quality and responsibility. Produced in the EU, ISO DIN 9001 certified, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 tested and manufactured according to fair trade principles - they create textiles that keep their promises. Since 1991 they have lived their work with passion, pride and the drive to give their best every day.

Lukas and his company LUCARO are more than just partners - they are part of our mission. With a lot of passion, Lukas has developed a detergent that not only cares for our protective fibers, but also maintains their vital protective effect.

In its own laboratory and with years of experience, products are created that represent the highest quality - made in Germany. Together we are setting an example of how important it is to strengthen the economy in Europe and drive innovation.

As a father, Lukas knows how valuable safety is for our children. His support comes not only from conviction, but from the heart. A friendship turned into a partnership that grew on trust, shared values and the desire to make the world a little safer.

Etienne's passion is stories that touch and images that stay in the mind. With eight years of experience and international projects with clients from Dubai, Switzerland and Germany, he has made a strong name for himself in the media world.

He has been successfully running his own company for two years and brings this expertise to Lowther Swiss Armour. For him, it's not just about taking beautiful pictures - it's about capturing moments that evoke emotions.
